A Snapshot of Your Day

For our Medium Gas Turbines Service Business in Finspång, a part of Siemens Energy Gas Services Distributed Gas Service Operations, we are looking for a person with responsibility for the commercial aspects of project acquisition, bid preparation and contract negotiation phase for our service products worldwide. Working within the Bid Management Team, the overall objective is optimizing the financial outcome of projects and assuring the maximum standards of the offers dealing with all partners involved.

In this role you will work closely together with your technical sales manager as well as the team in Finspång and the regional entities. The way forward will be to continue our exiting growth story and contribute to our profitable growth. You will report to Head of Bid Management and be part of a team with a broad area of experience and responsibility.

How You’ll Make an Impact

  • Actively co-create in the sales project together with the Technical Sales Manager.
  • Be responsible for all financial and commercial activities in budgetary and firm offers
  • Defining the appropriate business model considering internal and external regulations and bid strategy.
  • Liaison with regional entities and other internal functions, including Legal, Financial Services, Insurance, Taxes,
  • Identify, manage, and mitigate commercial areas of a contract including currency / hedging risks, financial security instruments, terms of payment, tax, insurances etc.
  • Complete and timely elaboration of all necessary financial/commercial documents for the sale and bidding process
  • Complete clarification and negotiation of commercial with customers in coordination with the relevant departments
  • Provide finance guidance to the development and strategies of our products.
  • Actively participate in the pricing process by collaborating with Technical Sales

What You Bring

  • University degree in business administration, finance, law or other comparable field.
  • Knowledge in contract law and experience in contractual negotiation.
  • Experience from sales, project management, finance, supply chain or a central function is a plus.
  • Know-how of the applications, law of contracts, foreign trade and customs regulations, general logistics etc.
  • As a person you are structured, analytical, driving teammate with the ability to in parallel handle multiple and complex tasks.
  • Knowledge in calculation methods and finance models.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • You are fluent in English, orally and in writing.
  • Flexibility and willingness for international travel.
  • Growth mindset, focus on solutions and willingness to work in a very dynamic international environment.
  • Experience in MS Excel.
